Gentle observational check of coat, skin, ears, mouth, and overall comfort
Two gentle, coat-appropriate washes to ensure a truly clean coat
Nail trim/Dremel
Blow dry and fluff

For dogs who need routine bathing, drying, and gentle finishing work to stay clean, and comfortable. Great for regular clients on a 4–6 week schedule.

A thoughtfully paced appointment for dogs who need additional coat work, extra time, or more detailed handling to restore comfort and cleanliness. Includes extended time for restorative coat care such as dematting, deshedding, conditioning, or trimming, always paced around your dog’s comfort.

The Meet & Greet Assessment
Some clients and their dogs benefit from an advance meeting. This dedicated 30-minute introductory session is for new clients and their dogs to experience the Porchlight environment firsthand before grooming begins.

Environment Exploration: Dogs are invited to explore the mobile spa at their own pace, building positive associations with the space before any grooming work begins.
Sensory Assessment: Porchlight mindfully observes each dog’s response to typical grooming sounds and touch to identify specific triggers or comfort preferences.
Professional Consultation: We discuss your dog’s history, coat goals, and any previous grooming challenges to ensure our "care-first" model is the right fit for your pet’s needs.
Collaborative Planning: After the assessment, we work together to establish a tailored grooming schedule designed to maintain your dog's physical and emotional health.
Behavioral Support Add-on
Some dogs benefit from additional time or supportive strategies to complete grooming safely and comfortably.

This add-on may apply for dogs who are:
Highly anxious or fearful
Reactive to handling
Sensitive to grooming tools or restraint
This add-on reflects the extra care required, not judgment. Appointments may be extended, paused, or rescheduled to prioritize your dog’s wellbeing.
Whenever possible, we will discuss and agree on the need for this support before your appointment begins. If additional support becomes necessary during the groom, you will be contacted before it is added.
Pricing Philosophy
Porchlight uses a time-based, condition-aware approach so pricing reflects the care your dog actually needs.
Pricing is influenced by:
Coat type and density
Coat condition and level of matting
Time since the last groom
Breed-specific styling needs
Temperament and handling requirements
Pricing ranges are shared in advance, and final pricing is confirmed before grooming begins whenever possible, including behavioral support, when that is knowable.
If additional time or handling becomes necessary during the groom, you will be contacted before any adjustment is made.
Ongoing Care Options
Porchlight offers recurring care options for households who prefer predictable scheduling and consistent support. These plans allow the cost of routine grooming to be distributed across the year and include preferential scheduling and a 10% annual service discount for regularly recurring grooms.
Booking and Scheduling
Appointments are reserved through online booking.
A $50 deposit secures your appointment and is applied to your final invoice.
You will receive a clear arrival window, along with proactive updates in the days leading up to and on the day of your appointment.
First-time clients are always welcome, and questions are encouraged.
Grooming does not have to be stressful for you or your dog.
